You may also want to disable the USB port, as this is not needed for the lab. Make sure that the value is not in the red area of the slider for CPUs or Memory. There is a slider for each of these settings. BEFORE STARTING THE VIRTUAL MACHINE: use the VirtualBox Settings -> System panel to adjust the number of CPUs and amount of RAM dedicated to the VM.The resulting VM will consume another 85.24 GB of disk space. You will need to accept the license before importing. This option should be under File -> Import Appliance. Import the HOL19c-2020oct.ova appliance using the VirtualBox application.You may want to delete the zip files to save disk space. The next step will be to import this appliance into VirtualBox. The resulting VirtualBox Appliance (.ova) file will consume approximately 21GB of disk space. Unzip this zip file into the location where you want the virtual machine to reside on disk. The latest Stuffit Expander seems to have issues with multipart zip archives. Mac OS X: A good option is The Unarchiver, a free utility in the Mac App Store. This should start the archive utility for your desktop environment, such as File Roller if you use Gnome. Linux: bring up your file manager and double-click on the first file. This should automatically expand the archive for you. Windows: use 7-zip to open the first file in the archive. These instructions can also be downloaded as Upgrade_HOL_README.
